Golden Circle Tour
The Golden Circle is Iceland’s most iconic day tour, combining dramatic nature, fascinating history, and some of the country’s most famous landmarks — all in one unforgettable journey.
Our first stop is Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the birthplace of Iceland’s parliament, established in the year 930 AD. For more than 800 years, Icelanders gathered here each summer to make laws and resolve disputes. Þingvellir is also geologically unique, located in a spectacular rift valley where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates slowly drift apart — a rare place where this phenomenon is visible above ground.
From Þingvellir, we continue to Laugarvatn, a tranquil lake surrounded by open landscapes, offering a peaceful pause before heading deeper into Iceland’s geothermal heart.
Next, we visit Geysir Geothermal Area, home to bubbling hot springs and Strokkur, which erupts every few minutes, sending boiling water high into the air — a powerful reminder of the forces beneath Iceland’s surface.
The journey continues to Gullfoss, often called the Queen of Icelandic Waterfalls. Here, glacial water from the Hvítá River crashes into a dramatic canyon, creating one of the most impressive natural sights in the country.
Our final stop is Kerið volcanic crater, a striking red-rock crater with a vivid blue lake at its center — a perfect contrast to the landscapes seen earlier in the day.
The Golden Circle offers a complete introduction to Iceland’s nature, geology, and history — all in a single, well-balanced tour.
