Borgarfjörður Tour
Borgarfjörður is an especially beautiful region located only about 100 km from Reykjavík. The area is rich in natural wonders and historical landmarks, making it a perfect destination for a scenic day tour.
We take the longer and more scenic route to Borgarfjörður, with a stop at the former whaling station in Hvalfjörður, offering insight into Iceland’s industrial past.
In Borgarfjörður, we visit Reykholt, the historic home of one of Iceland’s most influential medieval writers, Snorri Sturluson, who lived there in the 13th century. We then explore the strikingly beautiful Hraunfossar waterfalls, where clear glacial water flows through ancient lava fields.
The tour also includes time in Húsafell, an area known for its peaceful atmosphere and unique natural beauty. Húsafell is also a perfect spot for a coffee stop or a relaxed lunch at a local restaurant.
